Wet Bouldering at Bloody Bridge
Time to suit up - put on your wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet and make your way up the fast flowing Bloody Bridge River - slides, rock pools and jumps all the way! Wet bouldering is all about the water - we make our way up a river, jumping into pools, climbing up waterfalls, always looking forward to the highest jumps at the end. And all of this under the direct supervision of one of our fully qualified and experienced members of staff.
Putting on a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet and making your way up a river. This usually involves a bit of climbing, sliding down natural slides, jumping into deep pools and some walking.
We would normally say children aged 8+ can participate.
Bloody Bridge Car Park – follow the coastal road south out of Newcastle towards Annalong for around 1 mile to see a large car park on your left.
There are limited toilets and changing facilities in the car park. Please be aware that sometimes the changing rooms are closed.
We provide wetsuits (although if you have your own then by all means bring them along), buoyancy aids and helmets
Usual swim kit under your wetsuit is fine. Please also bring old trainers and socks that will get wet. Please make sure the old trainers can be tied up tightly when on your feet.
Complete change of clothes – including footwear – and a towel. Best to leave this kit in your vehicle in a place that is easily accessible to get access at the end of your session.
Your instructor will bring a rucksack and dry bag along with them during the session so we can hold into your keys for you.
Yes - we will also take photos of your session. However please ask everyone else in the group if they are happy for you to take their photo. Our photos are usually uploaded onto our social media platforms within 48 hours of the session.
